Sea of Stinson

The first hot spot on the road that i will be taking you to is Stinson Beach. Drive 50 minutes North of San Francisco and as soon as your past the Golden Gate Bridge its where you get to the point of never leaving the beautiful areas. Stinson Beach is a great place to relax, stay, hike, and to swim in the cool ocean. You can Hike from San Francisco to Stinson Beach within 6-7 hours and you will accomplish 26 miles. Also, Hike over to the hills and mountain tops of Mt. Tam. Enjoy walking or running through the silent woods above you as you discover something new and will be kept in your memory list. If you are not into Hiking or enjoying the mountains, maybe you would want to stay a night or two, or for as long as you want to. Stay at: Stinson Beach Motel, Sand Piper, Bed and Breakfast, or Oceancourt. Something special about these motels is that every single room has a private bedroom or even two bedrooms with a bath, a kitchen and a living room. Cook in, or enjoy Dinner at the downtown Restaurants. Eat inside or out listening to live Jazz music. As you stay in what i call heaven and you will too soon, make sure you take a stroll along the squeeky sand of Stinson Beach. Walk over 2 miles up to the end enjoying the water, homes on the beach or the sunny weather. Whatever you do, have fun, because you will never discover anywhere like this again!!

Hikes! Lets get started! NO DOGS! Lets face it, its a fact, and the law! it really does suck! and to prevent curious people bring their dogs on the hike how about a $271 fine for just one Puggle dog! The hikes around here travel as far as the Golden Gate Bridge! They travel North, South and Sast, and if you want to head as far East as possible, it should be on land or your out swimming! When you are hiking anywhere in the hills of Stinson Beach you have to go uphill first!!!

On hiking trail thats most famous and has been famous for a century is the Dipsee trail. the Dipsea trail is about 7.5 miles each way that can either start at Stinson Beach to Mill Valley, or Mill Valley to Stinson Beach! By starting at Mill Valley you are choosing to walk, jog, or run up over 600 steps! then after that you have to walk through a lovely private living residential area of Upper Mill Valley, then down into Muir Woods. After Muir Woods you may choose to get lost in the beauty of redwoods or continue your difficult walk! After Muir woods you travel up hill for about 2-3 miles! its all up hill including stairs, twists and turns! It is all up hill! Then from Pantoll AKA MT. Tam for short its all downhill with 328 steps! Its rather a difficult climb and hike, but on a wonderful summer day its really beautiful!
